Vintage Souvenir Playbill
Up for auction is a vintage souvenir playbill, measuring 6 by 9 inches in size.  The Playbill is for Burt Shevelove's "The 1978 Milliken Breakfast Show", playing at the Waldorf Astoria Grand Ballroom, in New York City, and featuring Cyd Charisse, Martha Danielle, Phyllis Diller, Dorothy Loudon, Donna McKechnie, Ann Miller, Arthur Rubin, Janie Sell and Jack Weston.  Every year from 1956 until 1980, Milliken sponsored an annual company musical, called "The Milliken Breakfast Show", so that its buyers could launch the new season.  These lavish and expensive productions would only run for roughly a dozen performances each.  Included with this souvenir playbill is the original ticket, dated June 5, 1978.  Milliken was known as being: "The World's Largest, Most Productive, Textile Research and Development Organization".
Both the playbill and ticket folder are in great, vintage condition, with no missing or torn pages, no writing on any of the pages, and minimal soiling and wear.  However, the ticket folder is missing the adhesive name badge.
